New PhD Student Started

Mr. Ahmed Gibriel start pursuing his PhD study under my supervision.
Ahmed is an analytical and dependable electronic engineering graduate with expertise in FPGA development, VHDL, and embedded systems. His research interests include fault diagnosis in industrial machines using signal processing and machine learning, as well as exploring hardware accelerators and digital signal processing (DSP).
He achieved MSc Electronic Engineering (Distinction) 2023/24 from University of Essex. He used to act as graduate Lab Assistant at University of Essex, to support students in digital design and embedded systems labs, providing technical guidance and improving lab efficiency. Before that he was a trainee Engineer at Sudanese Thermal Power Generation Company, where he worked on sensor testing, fault detection, and gauge reviews to improve equipment reliability
His initial research topic is new approximate computing architecture for autonomous systems.
